AMM Reaches Innovative Agreement with SteelFacts
Pittsburgh, PA
March 22, 2005

American Metals Market (AMM) inks an agreement to provide its steel editors access to steel market data via STEELFACTS. In exchange, STEELFACTS will advertise its product through AMM.com as well as in the print and .pdf edition of American Metal Market. STEELFACTS is an online service that provides customers with advanced analytical capabilities to assist in the sometimes-overwhelming task of analyzing the steel market. STEELFACTS combines domestic shipment data from the American Iron & Steel Institute (AISI) with import/export data from the US Department of Commerce to provide a complete picture of the domestic steel marketplace. Import and Export values are calculated. STEELFACTS includes up to a 10-year history of the steel market. STEELFACTS uses business intelligence tools from industry leader COGNOSTM to provide an exceptional tool to the end user.

American Metals Market is the daily newspaper of the North American metals and recycling industries. Behind every story is more than a century's worth of experience. The AMM.com staff of 70, which consists of a permanent staff of 35 reporters and editors and 35 part-time reporters and contributors from around the world, covers all aspects of the metals markets. You'll find information about acquisitions and divestitures, labor negotiations, new technology trends, and other industry news as it occurs.

STEELFACTS is a partnership between the AISI, and John Daniel Associates Inc. formed to provide steel market participants with a tool to simplify the analysis of the domestic steel market while allowing the information to become a factor in critical business decisions.
