SteelFacts Partnership Announced

STEELFACTS formally announces its partnership between the AISI and John Daniel Associates Inc., formed to provide steel market participants with a tool to simplify the analysis of the domestic steel market while allowing the information to become a factor in critical business decisions.

SteelFacts is an online service that provides customers with advanced analytical capabilities to assist in the sometimes-overwhelming task of analyzing the steel market. SteelFacts combines domestic shipment data from the American Iron & Steel Institute (AISI) with import/export data from the US Department of Commerce to provide a complete picture of the domestic steel marketplace. Import and Export values are calculated. SteelFacts includes up to a 10-year history of the steel market. SteelFacts uses business intelligence tools from industry leader CognosTM to provide an exceptional experience to the end user.

John Daniel Associates implements Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to mid-market and Fortune companies nationally. John Daniel's VantagePointTM process enables customers to quickly answer their most crucial business questions through reporting, analysis, financial consolidation, data warehousing, and enterprise planning. John Daniel Associates has been recognized as a Cognos® Pinnacle Partner for four consecutive years, one of only nine in North America.

American Iron & Steel Institute serves as the voice of the North American steel industry in the public policy arena and advances the case for steel in the marketplace as the preferred material of choice. AISI also plays a lead role in the development and application of new steels and steelmaking technology. AISI is comprised of 32 member companies, including integrated and electric furnace steelmakers, and 118 associate and affiliate members who are suppliers to or customers of the steel industry.
